Georgia Avenue and Petworth Development

The Georgia Avenue Corridor and Petworth neighborhood have experienced a development boom in recent years. Both have added infill condominium projects, apartments and rehabs. While Georgia Avenue experienced a good many ups and downs during the process, Petworth’s revitalization has been highly successful with a large number of single family home renovations and influx of small condo projects. Georgia Avenue begins north of Florida Avenue and runs past Howard University and Fort Stevens. At Eastern Avenue, Georgia Avenue crosses into Maryland.
