Helicopter Factory Project Overview

The Helicopter Factory project consists of 2 warehouse spaces and 13 townhouse-style condominium units. Condos will offer 2 to 3 bedrooms with 1324 to 1,706 square feet of living space. A 1,500 square foot landscaped courtyard and a wraparound rooftop deck will attach to the warehouse properties. Seven parking spaces will be offered for sale to condominium unit purchasers. Two Warehouse units offer three levels of living space ranging from 2,825 to 5,077 square feet and private roof decks. Warehouse units are located in the original brick factory building. Association fees: $263 to $421 per month
The project is named as an homage to Emile Berliner, who invested the gramophone record, among other things, and who created a gyro motor in his Brightwood facility that is considered the pre-cursor to the mechanical development of practical helicopters of the 1940s. When Berliner’s son Henry took over the company it merged with Joyce Aircraft to become Berliner-Joyce Aviation, moving its operations to Maryland.

Helicopter Factory Design Features

Interior design is a combination of industrial and modern finishes. Exposed brick, wood and metal. Finishes include approximately 10′ ceilings in the condominiums and 10′ to 15′ foot ceilings in the Warehouse, sliding wood barn doors, Oak flooring throughout, GE Profile appliances in the condominiums and Viking appliances in the Warehouse, Restoration Hardware Master Bath vanities with marble tops and private outdoor space per plan.
