Woodley Park DC Development

Woodley Park is home to the National Zoo, Washington International School and Tregaron Estate conservancy. Busy Connecticut Avenue are lined with midcentury and period apartment buildings and condominiums. The Marriott Wardman Park Hotel is located in Woodley Park, occupying the expansive corner of Connecticut Avenue and Woodley. Developer JBG owns the 1.5M SF site, which it intended to redevelop by replacing the hotel with approximately 1650 luxury condos and apartments in five buildings and 1k+ parking spaces. Recently, JBG announced that they were withdrawing their plan and putting the hotel up for sale. Development in Woodley Park was rare prior to these recent projects:
